We’re delighted to see MISTREE featured in the East Anglian Daily Times, helping to share the story behind this unique Suffolk-born project with a wider audience.
Developed through a collaboration between designers Barron Gould Studio, Electronic Terminations Ltd, and lighting engineer Tom Taylor, MISTREE combines evaporative cooling, programmable lighting, and sculptural design to create more comfortable and engaging outdoor spaces.
The feature highlights the local roots of the project, which has brought together expertise in design, engineering, manufacturing, and lighting control to create a new approach to climate-responsive public space design. While conceived and developed in Suffolk, MISTREE has been created with a global outlook, responding to the growing challenge of rising temperatures in cities, hospitality environments, and public gathering spaces around the world.
As urban environments continue to adapt to changing climate conditions, we believe there is an increasing opportunity for infrastructure that not only performs a practical function but also contributes positively to the character and identity of a place. MISTREE has been designed to do exactly that, combining cooling technology with architectural form to create spaces that people want to spend time in.
